I have worked in education and social services for over
30 years. My experience includes work as a pastor
and case manager for the homeless and people living with HIV/AIDS.
I was the Director of the
Blue Gargoyle Community Services Youth Development Program and Director of the Adult Learning Program.
As a literacy consultant I have worked with groups including the South Side Health and Vitality Studies, the Urban Health Initiative and Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
I have provided expertise in the areas of technology literacy, adult and youth learning, empowerment strategies, and communication with traditionally marginalized groups.
I founded NewWays Learning and Literacy Consulting because I believe that literacy empowers people to reach their personal goals and full potential.
